Rosemary
Lee’s work is characterised by a desire to work in a variety of contexts,
constituencies and media. Her creative output is diverse and include: large
scale site specific work with community casts numbering up to 250; solos for
herself and others, groups works for theatre settings, films for broadcast television,
and interactive video installations. Her collaborative film projects
include short films for broadcast (boy, greenman, Infanta and Snow) a
documentary (Dancing Nation), live performance merging with video projection
(Passage and Brink) and installations (Apart from The Road and Remote
Dancing). Her most recent large scale site specific works are Common Dance
(2009), commission by Greenwich Dance and Dance Umbrella in association with
Artsadmin, involving 50 performers of all ages and a young choir with sound
score and choral works by Terry Mann and Square Dances (2011) commissioned by
Dance Umbrella and created for four London Squares involving around 160
performers of all ages.
