As Director, Dr. Dixon is responsible for coordinating international activities at Wayne State University. Key activities include providing international services to all Schools/Colleges by administering global grant competitions for faculty and students to encourage international activity on campus including international student research, student exchanges, and study abroad initiatives; administering the Fulbright and NSEP programs; developing agreements with foreign institutions; providing advice on viable forms of institutional cooperation including academic exchanges and research; and coordinating international travel for Wayne State University delegations. She is the author of numerous articles. Dr. Dixon's research interest is the development of individuals within their international communities. She is a member of NAFSA: Association of International Educators, chair of the WSU Academic Staff Professional Development Committee and president of the Michigan Association of Adult and Continuing Education. She has received numerous awards for service to the university and surrounding community.
