The Laval Biotechnology Development Centre (LBDC) is a 128,000 sq. ft. multi-tenant building designed and built in 2003 to meet the highest standards of the biotech industry (visit www.lbdc.ca ). Its infrastructure meets the exacting standards of air and water quality, as well as the low vibration characteristics that are essential for biotech research activities.
Located in the heart of the Biotech City (north of Montreal), and set on the university campus of the INRS (National Institute for Scientific Research), The Biotech City is a biotechnology cluster (visit www.citebiotech.com ) that is conveniently located next to major transportation arteries, and with easy access to Montreal’s subway system; traveling time by car to Montreal’s CBD is 10-15 minutes. The cluster includes companies such as GSK Biologicals, Roche Diagnostics, Charles River Laboratories, Servier Canada, LAB, Labopharm, Neurochem, Biosyntech, Ethypharm, Prometic, and others.
