Lauren Alexander joined ISA in 2008 to direct its team of Custom Program Managers. Having facilitated customized programs in some of ISA's largest sites, Lauren has experience in working through curricular and cultural complexities and is proficient in building program infrastructure. Lauren received her bachelor's degree in English Literature and Hispanic Studies from Rice University and her master's degree in Intercultural Communication at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Prior to joining ISA, Lauren served as a Program Manager for IAESTE United States and AIPT where she collaborated with American universities to develop and implement international short-term experiential programs for engineering and science students. Lauren's passion for international education manifests in her work, and she is pleased to lead a team in developing consistently high-quality academic programs abroad.

Dr. Jem Spectar became the fifth president of the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown on July 1, 2007.  In announcing Dr. Spectar's appointment, Pitt Chancellor Mark A. Nordenberg offered, "Provost Maher and I look forward to working with Dr. Spectar and the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown community to ensure the continuing success of the campus under his capable leadership.  Jem Spectar is a visionary leader and celebrated teacher.  He has the skills and experience necessary to build effectively upon the strengths of our Johnstown campus and to enrich the lives of students, faculty, staff, and administrators."Dr. Spectar has been provost at Western Oregon University; associate provost of academic affairs at the University of Scranton; director of studies at Princeton University; and assistant dean of students at the University of La Verne."As a senior administrator at several institutions of higher education, Dr. Spectar has established a leadership style marked by an emphasis on consultation, collaboration, and transparency," said Pitt Provost and Senior Vice Chancellor James V. Maher.  "His outstanding academic and administrative leadership, as well as his capacity for fund raising, friend-making, and fostering positive community relations make him the ideal president for our Johnstown campus."

Dr. Donald R. Culton, came to Los Angeles from Omaha, Nebraska at the age of three months. He attended Long Beach City College, earned a B.A. at Whittier College, M.A at the University of California, Santa Barbara and Ph.D. at the University of Southern California. He taught at Shasta College in Redding, California for two years, and began his teaching in the Los Angeles Community Colleges in l966 at Los Angeles City College. He was Coordinator of Outreach and Evening and Assistant Dean of Evening at Harbor College when he began the study abroad program in Morelia, México in l977. In l980 he became the Director of International Education for the LACCD. He served in a similar capacity for the South Orange County Community College District before retiring from the public community colleges and devoting his time to volunteer work, consulting, and assisting with the study abroad programs offered by WLAC and Mrs. Culton. He is an avid cyclist and runner, has been a member of the Team USA National Duathlon squad at three World Duathlon Championships.
